How to Deal With Travel Anxiety

Image
The time has arrived for you to travel and guess what? You're one of those people who get travel anxiety no matter how frequently you travel. Travel anxiety is very real, and while there are many solutions out there, ranging from taking deep breaths and listening to calming music, why not try a different tactic? One that not only tackles anxiety but also makes you relaxed and perhaps even smiles? Here are some ways to deal with travel anxiety: 1) Pretend you're the MC in a movie You are the main character in your life, so why not pretend you've landed a major role in a movie that involves you traveling. Pretend that the first shot is of you in the airport. Wear your best clothes, and make sure you're delivering your dialogues properly. Consider wearing makeup. Make sure you're giving your best take as you get your bags checked in. Don't forget to pose occasionally. 2) Act like a celebrity We've all seen the paparazzi hound celebrities when they are going t...

What is the Point? The AI chatbots Thing

Image
The future is here and AI has been effectively replacing humans in customer service.   Now talking to humans for any kind of support is a privilege and your problem has to be really complex and desperate to be chosen for a human agent.   If not, get ready to spend minutes "talking" to a chatbot who will repeatedly ask if they managed to solve your problem, as if expecting assurance or compliments.   When you cannot find any contact information on a website, you resort to clicking on the AI chat option, hoping they will transfer you to someone who can sort out your issue.   You are welcomed in a friendly manner before being given options. None of these options are about your current issue. So you type your problem only to be told that it is not understood.   You pick an option from the menu, something close to your issue. Solutions are immediately given and you have already tried them all.   The chat bot has the audacity...

Romantic Movies That Would Have Ended in Divorce

Image
For many, romantic movies are a source of comfort. There’s always a happy ending. The couple always overcomes trials and tribulations and gets together.  The background score is great, the people in romantic movies are pleasant,t and the couple has amazing chemistry.  But let’s face it. In the real world, none of these stories would actually work. The couple doesn’t always get together. Soul mates end up going their separate ways. The people around them may be jealous and not want them to get together.  The trials and tribulations may not be so easy to overcome.  Without further ado, let’s take a look at the happy endings in romantic movies and whether the couple would have actually made it.  1) Titanic For many, this is the ultimate romance movie. Jack and Rose have an epic romance aboard a doomed ship and though they never get together, their love is everlasting.  But what if Jack hadn’t died? What if he had gotten on that debris with Rose and survived?...

What is the Point? The Cake Smashing Thing

Image
It's someone's special day. A birthday, wedding, retirement...whatever.   This person wants to be made to feel special. They are happy to be surrounded by friends and loved ones.   There's music, laughter, good food, and good times.   It's now time to cut the cake. Everyone is singing and cheering.   But one cheeky person thinks it will be hilarious to smash cake on that very person's face who just wanted to feel special for one day.   This person is mindless of the fact that they will be effectively ruining someone's day.   Someone has spent time and money to look and feel good on their special day. They've bought accessories, spent minutes perfecting their look so that they can capture memories on photos.   One prank ruins it all.   The person's face is pushed into gooey cream and cake. The cake, which also cost a lot, is ruined. No one else wants to eat it because who likes smashed cake with a perso...

What is the Point? -- That Space Travel Thing

Image
Why did six wealthy women go to space?   Was it to promote space tourism? A new album or product? To flaunt their wealth? Or to actually create awareness of gender equality and inclusion of women in STEM?   While the purpose of this space "mission" was lost once these women landed back in Earth, what they did manage to achieve was harsh criticism for their 11 minute stunt.   I want to believe that there was a reason these women decided to undertake this trip into space. It couldn't only be to sing songs, and pay tribute to loved ones.   There has to be a better purpose for wasting vast resources to enter space and return to Earth and behave like heroes.   Nevertheless, what is the point of the backlash.   Say what you want, this eleven minute mission has promoted space tourism. It has proved that if you have money to spend, then even space isn't out of reach. You don't need to work hard to get into space programs to be ...

What Would Budget Space Travel Be Like?

Image
Delayed flights? Turbulence? Long lines at the airport for check-in?  In the future, we may not have to deal with air travel anymore but find ourselves opting to go on vacation in space. Sapce Travel is surely going to be the future and instead of traveling to different countries, we will be able to visit different planets in other galaxies as well.  How amazing would that be?  But just like how air travel introduced budget travel options, in all likelihood, we may find ourselves coping with budget space travel as well.  If you are wondering what that is going to be like, well, here are some probable scenarios you are going to encounter:  1. Extra Fees for Oxygen – "Want to breathe for the entire trip? That’ll be an additional $99.99 per hour!" What? Did you think you were going to get complimentary oxygen? In the future, everything will be taxable, and you are going to have to pay to breathe if you’re thinking of traveling to another planet or even the m...

What if Authors Wrote Clickbait Articles

Image
As a writer, it's really tough out there when you have to write articles and then get people to click on the links. Many websites rely on clickbait headlines to get people to visit them. Sometimes, the articles are actually informative and well-written. Other times, it's a lengthy post about something that is hardly related to the headline. Now, let's imagine if famous authors wrote these clickbait headlines. How exactly would they bait you? 1) Edgar Allan Poe He thought it was an ordinary bird. But then the bird spoke only one word (The Raven) He thought he could get away with his crime until he heard the heartbeat of his victim. (The Tell-Tale Heart) 2) William Shakespeare Two teenagers fall in love. A few days later, they both die. Are their families responsible? (Romeo and Juliet) Four people get lost in a forest. Two couples emerge days later. A story of true love or something else at play? (A Midsummer's Night Dream) 3) Charles Dickens Miserly Man turns over a new...

Snow White’s True Strength: A Timeless Tale of Kindness, Resilience, and Love

Image
Who doesn’t remember the 1937 animated movie Snow White ?  The new generation who has no patience to watch an old movie that doesn’t have enough special effects or slang to hold their attention, that’s who.  Snow White is a beloved movie based on the 1812 tale by the Brothers Grimm. The 1937 version is a Disney-fied version of Snow White, who has a bob and a pretty blue and yellow dress.  Ever since the movie release, Snow White is known to be this demure princess, who longs for love, who is kind-hearted and has a soft voice.  Then came the 2025 version of Snow White, which was supposed to be a modern take on the classic fairytale.  There is no doubt that these stories need to be retold as many times as possible to keep them alive. A modern take on the movie, that resonates with the new generation, will keep traditions alive.  Snow White may be deemed as too timid and helpless in the modern world, but then again it depends on how you interpret her st...
