Prince Harry's New Book

Social media has been abuzz with Prince Harry's latest book SPARE.

The books hasn't even been released yet.

Such is the case when it comes to the royal families.

For years, all that we have heard and known about the famous monarchs were that they were kind, charitable, graceful, and enviable.

Yes, there were some controversies, scandals thrown about but they were quickly dispersed.

And so, just like we watch our neighbors with a keen eye and curious mind, we wondered what the royal family was really like. Were they anything like the fairytales we read as kids.

Come January 10th, and all our questions will be answered.

Prince Harry has given his nod to a memoir that will give away all his secrets and observations living in royalty.

Every family has their secrets and not everyone has a story like in the movies. There are fights and misunderstandings, and apologies, and adversities.

But the one thing that is obvious in today's world is that everyone likes drama, especially when it isn't their own.

Wouldn't you like to know your neighbor's dirty secrets? Just so we can study them and wonder if our lives are less complicated than theirs? Or so we can feel supercilious?

One thing is for sure, some people tend to find entertainment in learning other people's internal issues and misfortunes. Not every listening ear is sympathetic.

Which is why, perhaps it isn't always a good idea to reveal the going-ons in one's family to the whole world.

Not every family is perfect and everyone occasionally has issues with some member in the family or another.

Does it mean it is a good idea to air dirty laundry in public?

Prince Harry has revealed several personal incidents in his book, most which has hardly garnered him sympathy.

Rather, he has been mocked and deemed a traitor for going against the royal family.

First the Netflix show, then the tell-all memoir.

If he thought giving his side of the story was going to help him win sympathetic fans, it seems that plan has backfired majorly.

For weeks now, Prince Harry, who was once hailed a hero for serving in the army, is now beinh ridiculed and called whiny.

He had an argument with his brother and was shoved. Did he think people would see it as an assault or sibling altercation?

His eagerness to come into the limelight is more apparent with the title of the book: SPARE.

It seems he wants sympathy for being the second child who was...what? Mistreated? Ignored? Ridiculed? Blamed for things he didn't do?

No?

Any second child, middle child, etc. Would probably take offence to what Prince Harry deem as injustice to what he has had to go through.

It is unfortunate that he has had to go against his family just so he could be spoken about.

There were plenty of ways to stay in the limelight. Conducting himself like a Prince and helping people is one thing.

He was born in royalty and although he may not appreciate being under scrutiny all the time, it was his responsibility and even more so, to help retain the dignity of his family.

There have always been those who have wanted to bring down and ridicule the monarchy. Prince Harry should not have joined their league.

Even if he had his disagreements, he should have maintained his dignity and that of his family and concentrated on himself and building a family with his wife.

He didn't need to build a career out of ridiculing his family.

He used to be so much more than a man who now wants pity.
