What’s the Point of Superheroes if they don’t save the day?

 It’s not our fault that we are fascinated with superheroes and have come to expect them to save the day. It’s the fault of those writers who make a living out of giving out false hope to impressionable minds, and then it is the fault of those who expose this material to you.  Superheroes came into existence much later than the proverbial Prince Charming . You know, the guy who comes riding on a horse after much of the trials and tribulations are overcome. He’s the one who serves the happy ending in a castle we never get to read about. If he’s riding about the woods and looking for princesses to save, does he even have a castle and any sort of royal duties ? But the better question is, what about the men? What of the distressed male who needs saving? Does a princess come get him on a horse or a carriage?  Perhaps it is this thought that prompted writers to create superheroes. New Show Release: THE SANDMAN

Much awaited show, THE SANDMAN releases today. 


This fantasy drama is based on the comics by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics. 


The move to adapt The Sandman for TV or the big screen has hit many obstacles over the years. In fact, since 1991, The Sandman has been in development hell. 


By 2013, a movie was pitched, but that too didn’t move ahead. 


Finally, Netflix came to the rescue and signed a deal for a series in 2019. 


The Sandman stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, the titular Sandman. 


Earlier reviews have been positive with critics calling it a “dream” of an adaptation. 


Let’s see whether this show sees success or failure.

  You may have noticed that nowadays, every third movie is a remake. Remakes were considered to be a reimagining of classics for the newer audience, although it isn't as widely accepted by film enthusiasts. Well, here are some reasons why remakes are actually not such a bad idea. 1) There are no more original ideas. It is better that a movie is remade than suffering through an unintelligent movie. Would you rather pay a hefty fee to go see a movie in a theatre that you thought was going to be good only to find out that the plot was shoddy and you already spotted a dozen plot holes in the first half?
