Finally!
Food prices have dropped.
Following the war between Ukraine and Russia, the cost of pretty much everything went up. Fuel prices, produce, cereals, you name it and all of it made our pockets get light in the past few months because of the increase in prices.
Grocery bills have never been higher since the war struck and affected global markets.
But finally, we are about to get the much-needed relief.
Exports from Ukraine have finally begun and taxes on food stuff have been eased by many countries.
Wheat prices have dropped 14.5% while the prices of cereals have dropped to 11.5%.
Fuel prices have finally dropped, meaning public transport, which had increased their fares, has returned to their former rates. A drop in fuel prices also means that food prices have dropped since the delivery costs had increased.
Food delivery app customers also noticed an increase in purchase prices. Now with a drop in fuel prices, many delivery apps have reduced some fees so that customers no longer have to pay an additional fee for deliveries.
Hopefully, this trend continues.
