What's The Point of This Month?
It's only the third month of the year, and March has already proven to be the most chaotic one so far.
We are already 3 months in 2026.
Has this year been great or what?
It hasn't, has it?
Not like 2016. Yes, we've seen the comparison videos, and luckily, that trend quickly died down. Turns out now that a lot of people had a great 2016 either.
But let's talk about March 2026. The third month of 2026.
A lot has happened, but let's talk about key moments from this...er...interesting month.
1) The War
Who saw that coming? It's basically 2026 begging to be known for something, so why not a war that will impact not only the countries involved but have a global impact, too?
At this point, 2026 is testing our patience and making sure we live in a constant state of panic.
In a nutshell, the US and Israel attacked Iran. Naturally, Iran retaliated by trying to destroy US bases in the nearby gulf states.
The internet has opinions, of course, but most importantly, social media users have busied themselves with generating memes of world leaders in ridiculous situations.
After all, what good is of using AI if not to mock serious global issues?
2) BTS dropped a new album
Fans of the K-pop band have been ecstatic. BTS has been trending for weeks now. Their new single SWIM has already accumulated millions of views. They have an official video starring Lily Reinhart. A dance video. A behind the scenes video. All of them have millions of views already.
They are back after a long hiatus, which, for fans of the group, has felt like decades.
So at least we have new music, especially after Harry Styles also dropped his new album.
March is a lot of things but can be termed as Melodious March?
Or are we still too mad at March?
3) Golden wins an Oscar!
The hit song from the hit Netflix movie KPOP DEMON HUNTERS sweeped all the major awards this year with the latest being the Oscars where it also won Best Animated Feature Film.
Finally, an award ceremony that actually respects well-made movies.
It was enchanting to see celebrities also partake in cheering for the Huntrix as they graced the stage with a performance. It was a golden performance, of course. Get it? They performed the song "Golden."
Of course, it made a lot of fans mad that their acceptance speech was cut off, but Oscars is...Oscars.
4) Chapell Roan didn't smile back at a kid.
How dare she! This news spread like wildfire online. Her apology video was heavily criticized, too. But the greatest mystery was, who was the security guard that shooed away the little girl who had rich celebrity parents.
Was the security guard from the hotel Chappell Roan's bodyguard, Sabrina Carpenter's security?
Who knows. The important part is that the girl cried, Chappell Roan posted a video by laying on her bed, and the security guard apologized.
At this point, maybe the outspoken music artist should just take a photo with the kid and get this thing over with?
5) Peak-detailing by Aditya Dhar
Dhurandhar was already declared a massive hit last year. The sequel which was released this month received the same admiration.
Of course, the movie was banned in many countries due to its controversial content, but that didn't stop some countries from illegally downloading it, and for Netflix to release it anyway.
Dhurandhar has been lauded for having a great cast and story, but netizens were more interested in pointing out the intricacies of direction.
Social media was flooded by memes from the movie, with everyone posting how each scene showed peak detailing by director Aditya Dhar.
The actor having two eyes meant there was a sequel going to be announced. Peak detailing.
The actor drinking juice meant he was thirsty. Peak-detailing by Aditya Dhar.
The director, of course, took all this in his stride and even mentioned the memes during promotions. He even tried to laugh at himself by showing the audience that the end of Dhurandhar...Dhar...was his surname.
Now that is Peak detailing by Aditya Dhar.
So this was what March 2026 was like. Let's see what amazing things April 2026 will have in store for us. Fingers crossed.
